Where it Starts

Stage 1 - Out with the old and in with the new.
We love it when you have a picture of a bathroom that you would love to have us create. Whether it's for large or small bathroom renovations in Brisbane we can work from that and tell you what is achievable in your allotted space. We can also advise any cost saving ideas that will achieve a similar outcome . If required we can supply you with a few different designs and layouts to really maximise your space.
Stage 2 – Protection of floor coverings and other areas.
We pride ourselves on providing protection for your house/unit throughout the duration of the job. Where applicable protection can be taped down and dropsheets used on top of this. Dropsheets will be placed on complete pathway of access to bathroom and will be taken up at end of every day and laid out again first thing before any work commences.
Stage 3 – Demolition
After protection is layered down to complete pathway in house the demolition can start. All old fittings and shower screens are removed. All tiling and walls are removed back to framing. Bedding and floor tiling is removed and bathroom taken back to bones so access for services can be granted.
Stage 4 – Moving services and build niche
As bathroom is completely stripped all services can be moved to new locations. Taps are changed to mixers, walls built if required and niche set up to work in with finished tiling pattern. It is critical at this stage to get everything in the right spot before wall sheeting takes place.
Stage 5 – Re sheet walls
After sign-off from client that everything is in correct position. Walls can then be re-sheeted ready for waterproofing.
Stage 6 - Waterproofing
This is one of the most important stages of your bathroom renovation. Waterproofing if not installed correctly can be very costly. As licensed waterproofers for more then 20 years we stay up to date with any changes in codes. It is very important that all prep work is completed to a high level ready for waterproofing and waterproofing installed to building code.
Step 7 - Tiling/Bedding
During the bedding and tiling stage a sand /cement bed is installed to ensure that water only goes where it should. All tile layouts are confirmed again and set out of tiles takes place to ensure best finish will be achieved. Corners of niche etc are finished with agreed details and colours.
Stage 8 (1) - cabinet and plumbing fit off
As all plumbing has already been run its now time to connect it all together. Toilet is installed and connected, shower head and mixer/tap ware finalised. Waste for vanity connected and tested. Any shaving cabinets can also be installed at this stage. Sometimes the cabinets will be installed during the tiling stage if recessed into walls etc.
Stage 8 (2) - shower screen/mirror and accessory installation
Most bathrooms these days have frameless glass shower screens installed . These are very cost effective when purchased off the shelf. We make sure bathroom is set out to accommodate off the shelf items saving our customers money. Custom and framed shower screens still need to be used in some instances and we work hand in hand with a large reputable shower screen company.
Stage 8 (3) - bathroom accessories
All bathroom fittings/accessories will be installed at this stage. Toilet roll holder/towel rails/hand towel holder will be installed into relevant (practical) positions and your input will be required if positions have not already been agreed upon.
stage 9 - cleaning/silicone
The bathroom/ensuite must be clean with all dust removed prior to silicone sealing. Any tiling glue/marks on tiles will be removed and cleaned. The silicone sealing will be applied to all internal corners of tiled junctions. The junctions between all fittings (toilet/vanity) will be siliconed in colour to suit application.
Stage 10 - Handover
We pride ourselves on handing over a job defect free. As we have worked with you through the build stages of your bathroom project any problems have been addressed and dealt with and its now time to handover your bathroom in line with your vision.
